Youlie is very a experienced and knowledgeable teacher. She has even written books on dancing (!).
The lessons are stimulating. Youlie always adds something new to already known steps, musicality, body posture and the interaction with a dancing partner.
She knows all what is needed on the leader and the follower position. There is always a sense of tolerance, patience and understanding on her side ; therefore the learning is not stressful.
I am very happy that Cambridge is dancing because this activity is just pure health and Youlie as one of other teachers makes this happen.
Thanks— GRZEGORZ PTASZEK
Youlie is a fantastic teacher! We contacted her two weeks before our wedding when we decided at the last minute to do a choreographed dance. She was able to get us in for a lesson within a few days, and again a couple of days before the wedding. She put together a great routine for us and was flexible when we came back to the next lesson and wanted to change things. We managed to learn a whole dance with 3 hours of lessons and everyone was wowed by it. So happy we chose to do this, and have Youlie to help us!— Laura Angco
Youlie is a fantastic dance teacher. There is a focus on leading and following, rather than just learning routines off by heart. Time is spent on technique, footwork and musicality. Then there is the styling to top it all off. She is an expert. With her I've progressed through IDTA medal tests and taken part in regional dance competitions, even winning some of them.
Highly recommended if you want to take your dancing to the next level and get noticed on the dance floor.— diane li
Youlie is the most professional dance teacher I’ve ever meet. She is both great with adults and children using all her experiences and background. High technique, Individual approach to each student and motivation. Would strongly recommend YoulieDance School to everyone love dancing— Olga Chervenkova
A beginner class teaching timing, frame and basic figures is the natural starting point. You learn to move with a partner to the music before adding more complex steps. No prior experience is expected.
The waltz suits many beginners thanks to its clear three-beat count. A social foxtrot is another gentle first dance. Both provide skills that carry over into other styles.
The basic salsa step is quick to grasp, often within the first lesson. Refining your timing and connection takes longer and comes through practice. Regular classes speed things along.
Yes, salsa welcomes complete beginners and builds from the basic step. No background is assumed. Many accomplished dancers started with none at all.
It certainly is. Adult ballet is taught at a pace suited to grown-up beginners and improves strength and posture. When you start does not matter for recreational study.
For enjoyment there is no cut-off, and adults of any age can take suitable classes. Only professional performance careers carry age pressures. Recreational ballet has none.
