I go to three of Lou's land Zumba each week. She is extremely passionate about every class. She creates most of her own routines. In all the years I've been doing Zumba with her she's hardly ever missed a class through illness, she says if she can drive she can do it! The classes are great fun, lots of friendly people and routines are fantastic!! There are alternatives to do if you have any issues with knees, shoulders etc. Highly recommend x— Debbi Smith

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you start ballroom dancing?

Ballroom is best begun through a dedicated beginners' class that teaches hold, posture and timing gradually, which is different from a Zumba workout. A specialist ballroom school is the place to enquire.

What ballroom dance to learn first?

The waltz is a common first dance thanks to its gentle rhythm, with livelier styles following. A ballroom teacher can advise where to start.

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa is approachable at beginner level once the basic step clicks, and the fitness gained from dance-based exercise can only help. Regular practice makes it feel natural.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes, beginner salsa is designed for people with no dance background at all. The steps are taught slowly and repeated until comfortable.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Typical line dance moves include the grapevine, heel dig, pivot turn, kick-ball-change and step-touch. These are joined into repeating sequences that are easy to follow.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Short routines with clear repeating patterns are the friendliest for first-timers. A dedicated line dancing class can tell you which beginner dances they currently teach.
