Wedding Dance Workshops is a dance school in the Earls Court area of London, focused on preparing couples for their first dance. It is well used to working with nervous beginners on tight timescales before a wedding. The teaching centres on quick, confidence-building results.
Reviewers describe a patient, experienced and flexible teacher who puts couples at ease and fits lessons around busy pre-wedding schedules. Beyond weddings, some come simply to learn a particular dance, such as the Viennese waltz, they have long wanted to master.
The speciality is first-dance choreography, though the studio naturally connects to the broader scene of dance classes in London and dance lessons in London. Couples often arrive as complete beginners and leave with an impressive routine learned in just a few focused sessions. Those separately interested in salsa classes in London, ballet classes in London or adult dance classes in London will find an experienced instructor to point them in the right direction.
A first session quickly puts nerves to rest and gets you moving with a manageable piece of choreography, even under time pressure. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes close to what you will wear on the day, and come prepared to have a go.
The studio is based in the Earls Court part of London, an area well connected by the surrounding transport links and easy to reach across the capital.
We were complete beginners with tight schedule and pre-wedding stress.
We were only 1 week away from doing our first wedding dance. We can't believe how in four lessons Paul immediately made us feel at ease and confident with the impressive choreography of our dance routine. We were very glad to have taken the lessons. Paul helped make our first wedding dance perfect. Our family & guests were amazed with the dance routine.
We highly recommend Paul to any couple looking to impress their guests as he is patient, inspiring, friendly and an exceptional mentor as a dance instructor. You w— Rolf Meakin
Paul is a great teacher, experienced and patient! The decision to have dance lessons for our first dance was one of the best we had for our wedding!
Paul was flexible and he managed to accommodate 2 lessons in a busy week just before flying to Greece for our wedding! He understood what we wanted and without any dancing experience, at the end we had a clear and simple foxtrot dance plan with figures as we exactly thinking! We had so much fun during the classes, we really enjoyed on or wedding day and our guests were very impressed!
Highly recommend! Have as much lessons as you can as this is a — katerina Koutsouki
My adorable wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary in London. My wife is from Vienna and she had the brilliant idea of taking a lesson to finally learn the Viennese Waltz – which we've been butchering for the last 20 years. This would be our first ever dance lesson individually or together. After much searching she found Paul and from the first email exchange we knew we had found the right teacher. When we arrived for our lesson Paul immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable, as if we'd known him all along. As he guided us through our lesson we found that not only was he a gifted da— Claudia Ralston
Paul is a fantastic teacher. We came to him two weeks before our wedding with no experience of dancing together properly before and he was brilliant. He taught us a waltz and in a few lessons gave us the confidence to really enjoy dancing together. We loved that Paul taught us steps that we could put together ourselves, rather than a strict routine that we would carry about getting right on the day – this really helped the dance feel more natural and enabled us to have fun. He is also very flexible with times of lessons which really helped, as we were busy at work during this time. I wouldn’t — Robert Kearns
