About Vixystrawberry Aerial Arts

The studio specialises in aerial disciplines and sensual pole work, with a teaching style that puts comfort and progression ahead of pressure. Students move up through levels at their own pace, and there is a clear sense that the room is meant to feel relaxed rather than competitive.

Classes & Dance Styles

Because the focus sits in pole and aerial, this is a good starting point for adult dance classes in Truro that build core strength and coordination. Those searching for dance classes in Truro or dance lessons in Truro will find the work here more athletic than traditional. It is worth noting that ballroom dancing in Truro and line dancing in Truro are not the studio's speciality, so anyone set on those styles would be better served elsewhere. What Vixystrawberry does offer is a friendly route into aerial fitness for complete beginners.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

Wear comfortable, close-fitting kit that lets you move freely and grips well for pole work. There is no expectation to arrive with any experience, and instructors are used to guiding people through their very first class. Bring water and an open mind.

What Dancers Say About Vixystrawberry Aerial Arts

4.5/5 from 8 Google reviews.

This is the best decision I've ever made to join Sensual Pole with Vicky . I love that theres no pressure to get it right, but when you do it feels amazing! Sometimes we get it first time, sometimes 10th and sometimes we just cant do it and we have all learnt thats ok because vicky supports us all the way through the process and gives alternatives if you just cant get it or she will help you untill you get it if thats what you want. Vicky is a wonderful teacher, she is so passionate about what she does and it really shows in the classes. Pole has taught me I can do anything if I put my mind to— Barefoot Bunniez

Such an amazing place, the owner vicky is lovely, very down to earth and has created a really special environment where we can relax and enjoy ourselves. I have made a great bunch of friends though my classes and progressing through the levels. Frequently Asked Questions

How do you start ballroom dancing?

Most people begin by joining a beginners' group class where the basic steps of one or two dances are broken down slowly. Ballroom is not the focus at this studio, so a dedicated ballroom school would be the better first port of call.

What ballroom dance to learn first?

The waltz is a common first choice because its steady rhythm and clear box step make it easier to grasp. Many teachers also start beginners on a simple social foxtrot.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Line dancing typically builds on the grapevine, the step-touch, the kick-ball-change, a heel dig and a simple turn. These few moves recombine to form most beginner routines.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Short, repetitive routines with only a handful of counts tend to be the easiest to pick up. Beginners often start with a slow four-wall dance before moving on to anything faster.

Can you learn to dance without a partner?

Yes, plenty of styles are designed for solo practice, including the pole and aerial work taught here. You can build strength, rhythm and confidence entirely on your own.

What should I wear to a beginner dance class?

For pole and aerial, close-fitting clothing that leaves some skin exposed for grip works best. For most other beginner classes, comfortable clothes and flexible footwear are all you need.
