About tiny toes ballet Monmouthshire & Blaenau Gwent

Parents describe wonderfully structured, entertaining classes that keep young children engaged, with a teacher who greets them with kindness and enthusiasm every week. Several note how their children grow in confidence, moving from clinging to a parent to happily joining in on their own, which speaks to how nurturing the sessions are.

Classes & Dance Styles

Classes are built around imaginative, story-led activities that hold a young child's attention while gently introducing simple ballet ideas such as balance, rhythm and coordination. Everything is pitched at pre-schoolers, so movements are playful and the pace suits short attention spans. Rather than formal technique, the focus is on fun, participation and building early confidence through music and movement. The consistent structure each week helps children know what to expect and settle in happily.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

For a first class, expect a friendly, encouraging welcome, and do not worry if your child is shy at first, as many warm up over a few weeks. Dress them in something comfortable they can move in, and simply come along to join the fun.

Location & Contact

Classes run at venues across the Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent area, so there is likely to be a session within reach of many local families. Check which venue and time suit you best when you enquire.

What Dancers Say About tiny toes ballet Monmouthshire & Blaenau Gwent

5/5 from 25 Google reviews.

My 2.5 year old daughter has been attending classes with Miss Charlotte for 15 months now and absolutely loves the class and Miss Charlotte.
Everything in the class is well structured and entertaining which helps keeps them engaged and taking part in the classes. I really love that it’s part of the EYFS program and even with dance they are learning things such as counting, numbers and even starting to recognise left (lilac) & right (red).
Miss Charlotte is so patient and understanding with the kiddies, she takes her time to explain and talk to them about the class and encourages them to take p— Rhian Deans

My daughter started ballet with Miss Charlotte a few months ago and what an amazing experience she is receiving! She is greeted with kindness and enthusiasm at every class.
Miss Charlotte has an excellent relationship with the children, my daughter absolutely adores her, and can't wait until the following week to go again! We thoroughly enjoy every session!
Would highly recommend Tiny Toes Ballet to other children and families.— Rikki Brace

I absolutely love Tiny toes ballet classes, as does my daughter. When she started she wouldn't leave my side and I'd have to get up with her, but now to see her go up by herself and dance with the teacher and other children is just heart warming. She thoroughly enjoys her classes. The teacher we have is lovely (Miss Alys) and the classes are just so fun! We wouldn't use anyone else!— Rebecca Watkins

I have taken adult ballet classes with Miss Charlotte over the last 5/6 years. Don’t tell my other ballet teachers, but Charlotte really has been the best teacher I’ve ever had! She approaches her classes with the perfect mix of technique and fun…. and the fact that she is such a stunning dancer herself adds that extra sprinkle of inspiration you need to achieve your best.— Helen Bassett

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you learn to dance without a partner?

Yes, these are solo pre-school classes where children dance individually and in a group, so no partner is involved. The focus is on each child's own movement and enjoyment.

What should I wear to a beginner dance class?

For young children, comfortable clothing they can move freely in is ideal, along with soft shoes or bare feet as advised. Ask the teacher if anything specific is recommended for the sessions.

How much does a dance class usually cost?

Fees vary depending on the venue and how sessions are booked. Contact the class directly for current prices and details of any trial sessions.

Which dance is best for beginners?

For toddlers and pre-schoolers, a gentle, play-based introduction like this is ideal, as it builds confidence and coordination through fun. It gives young children a lovely first taste of dance.

What is the best dance to start as an adult?

These classes are for young children rather than adults, so an adult beginner would be better looking at a dedicated grown-ups' class. Many adult styles reward regular, gentle practice.

Is dancing good for heart failure?

Light movement can be pleasant gentle exercise for some, but anyone with a heart condition should consult their GP first. These particular classes, however, are aimed at very young children.
