The Fagan School of Irish Dancing has been teaching the art of Irish dance in Chester-le-Street for over 30 years. Our school is dedicated to providing quality instruction for all levels of dancers, from beginners to advanced. We offer classes for all ages and abilities, and pride ourselves on providing a safe, friendly and fun environment for our students.

The Fagan School of Irish Dancing is directed by Mrs. Margaret Fagan, a fully qualified Irish dance teacher and adjudicator. Mrs. Fagan has been teaching Irish dancing for over 40 years and has won numerous awards and accolades for her work. She is passionate about teaching Irish dance and is dedicated to helping her students achieve their goals.

At the Fagan School of Irish Dancing, we believe that Irish dancing is more than just a dance. It is a way of life, and a way of connecting with our culture and heritage. We strive to instill a sense of pride and respect for Irish culture in our students, and to help them develop a strong sense of identity and community.

Classes

The Fagan School of Irish Dancing offers classes for all levels of dancers, from beginners to advanced. We offer classes for children, teens and adults, and our classes are designed to be fun and enjoyable for all. We also offer classes in Ceili and Step dancing, as well as workshops and seminars.

Competitions

We also offer competitive Irish dance classes for those who wish to compete in local, regional and national competitions. Our competitive classes are designed to help our students develop the skills and confidence necessary to compete at the highest levels. We offer both solo and team competitions, and our students have achieved great success in both.

Events

The Fagan School of Irish Dancing regularly hosts events and workshops for the local community. We offer workshops and seminars on various aspects of Irish dance, such as technique, choreography, music and history. We also host regular performances and recitals, which are open to the public.
