The Barr Academy of Performing Arts is a dance school, performing arts group, and drama school based in Stokenchurch, High Wycombe. We offer a range of classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced level. Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students to develop their skills and explore their creativity.

Our History

The Barr Academy of Performing Arts was founded in 2006 by professional dancer and choreographer, Paul Barr. Paul has been teaching dance for over 20 years, and has a wealth of experience in the performing arts. He is passionate about providing a unique and enjoyable learning experience for all of his students.

Our Facilities

The Barr Academy of Performing Arts is based in Longburrow Hall, a beautiful 18th century building in the heart of Stokenchurch. We have two large studios, equipped with state-of-the-art sound systems and lighting, as well as a sprung dance floor. We also have a café area, where students can relax and socialise.

Our Classes

At The Barr Academy of Performing Arts, we offer a range of classes and workshops, from beginner to advanced level. Our classes include ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, and musical theatre. We also offer drama classes, as well as singing lessons. We also provide private lessons for those who are looking for a more personalised experience.
