Welcome to Tango Lingua

Tango Lingua is a dance school located in Southampton, UK. Our mission is to provide a fun and engaging learning environment for people of all ages and abilities to learn and enjoy the art of dance.

We offer a wide range of classes, from beginner to advanced levels, and our instructors are highly qualified and experienced in teaching all styles of dance. Whether you’re looking for a way to improve your technique or just want to have some fun, our classes are a great way to get started.

Our classes are held in a variety of locations throughout Southampton, including our main studio located at the Friends Meeting House on Ordnance Road. We also offer private lessons and group classes for those who prefer a more personalized experience.

Tango is a popular partner dance that originated in Argentina and Uruguay. Our classes focus on the fundamentals of the dance, including its unique combination of walking, rhythm, and improvisation. We also teach the different figures and steps of the dance, as well as the etiquette and customs of the Tango.

Salsa

Salsa is a lively partner dance that originated in Cuba and Puerto Rico. Our classes focus on the basics of the dance, including its unique combination of footwork, turns, and styling. We also teach the different figures and steps of the dance, as well as the etiquette and customs of Salsa.

Ballroom

Ballroom is a formal partner dance that originated in Europe. Our classes focus on the fundamentals of the dance, including its unique combination of technique, posture, and musicality. We also teach the different figures and steps of the dance, as well as the etiquette and customs of Ballroom.

Latin

Latin is a passionate partner dance that originated in Latin America. Our classes focus on the basics of the dance, including its unique combination of footwork, turns, and styling. We also teach the different figures and steps of the dance, as well as the etiquette and customs of Latin.

We also offer workshops, private lessons, and social events for our students. Our workshops focus on specific topics related to the art of dance, such as musicality, styling, and improvisation. Our private lessons are tailored to the individual, and our social events are a great way to meet other dancers and practice your skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
