What Dancers Say About Summers Knight Dance Studio

4.6/5 from 42 Google reviews.

Top-class tuition from friendly, and talented group of tutors. Its long-standing position in the Nottingham cultural landscape is testament to its quality and pedigree. Highly recommended for absolute beginners as a place to learn ballroom dancing. I am sure that more experience dancers will also find plenty for them, also, but I can't speak to my own experience on that.— Jack Kastor

An excellent dance floor and good selection of dance music, both for modern and Latin ballroom dancing. The chairs were the most comfortable I've seen at any venue although we only sat down for short periods because we danced almost the whole time.
The atmosphere was friendly and we really enjoyed our first time there.— Sydney Davies

Easy to find with loads of signage outside. Friendly people and helpful. No dedicated parking but is in the city centre so a short walk from public parking and public transport. We cycled and couldn't find any bike stands nearby so just locked our bikes to some tree guards on the corner.— Rachel Lewis

Great place to learn dance. Good floor and bar. A bit old style especially chairs and toilet. Very, very hot. Fans are giving so much wind and not cooling. However so much better than our place before!— Ewelina K.

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

The basic salsa step is easy to grasp and most people manage it in a lesson or two. Turns and confident partnering take longer, but consistent practice matters more than natural ability.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes. Salsa is taught from scratch, so people with no dance background are welcome and progress steadily as they attend.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes. Adult ballet classes are built for beginners and develop posture, strength and flexibility at a sensible pace.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no upper limit. Adults take up ballet at every stage of life, and classes adjust to suit whoever joins.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common building blocks include the grapevine, the step-touch, the kick-ball-change, the pivot turn and the shuffle, and most beginner routines combine a few.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Short four-wall routines with a repeating count are the easiest to learn, since the pattern returns predictably and is quick to memorise.
