Overview

STAR Academy of Performance from Worthing is a premier dance school, drama school and performing arts group that offers a wide range of classes, workshops and performances for all ages and abilities. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students to explore their creativity and develop their skills in a variety of performing arts disciplines. We strive to foster a sense of community and collaboration among our students and teachers, and to create a space where everyone can feel comfortable to express themselves.

History

STAR Academy of Performance from Worthing was founded in 2004 by two passionate dancers and performers, who wanted to create a space where people could come together to learn and express themselves through the art of dance and drama. Since then, STAR Academy has grown into a well-respected and renowned performing arts school, with an ever-growing network of students, teachers and performers.

Facilities

At STAR Academy, we offer a range of facilities and resources to support our students and teachers. Our main facility is our dance studio, which is fully equipped with mirrors, a sprung floor, a sound system and a variety of props. We also have a drama studio, which is equipped with a stage, lighting and sound equipment. We have a library of books and DVDs, and we offer free Wi-Fi access for our students.

Classes and Workshops

At STAR Academy, we offer a variety of classes and workshops for all ages and abilities. Our classes range from beginner to advanced levels, and we also offer private classes and workshops for those who want to focus on specific skills or techniques. We offer classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, drama, musical theatre and more. We also offer workshops in improvisation, audition technique, stage combat and more.

Performances

At STAR Academy, we believe in giving our students the opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in a variety of performance contexts. We offer a range of performance opportunities, including our annual student showcase and our summer performance series. We also offer performances for corporate and private events, and we are available for hire for a variety of events.
