Overview

Spirit Young Performers Company (SYPC) is a performing arts group and dance school located in London, UK. SYPC is dedicated to providing young dancers with the opportunity to explore the performing arts and develop their skills as performers. Our mission is to provide an environment that encourages creativity, self-expression, and collaboration. We believe that through our classes and workshops, our students will gain a deeper understanding of their own potential as performers.

History

SYPC was founded in 2012 by experienced dance teacher and choreographer, Joanne Thompson. Joanne has been teaching and choreographing dance for over 20 years and has worked with some of the most prestigious dance companies in the UK. Joanne was inspired to create SYPC after seeing the need for an accessible and affordable performing arts program for young people in London. Since its inception, SYPC has grown to become one of the leading performing arts groups in the UK.

Classes and Workshops

At SYPC, we offer a variety of classes and workshops for young dancers aged 5-18. Our classes are designed to develop technical and creative skills in a range of dance styles, including ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. We also offer workshops in acting, singing, and musical theatre. Our classes are taught by experienced teachers who are passionate about helping young dancers reach their full potential.

Performances

At SYPC, we believe in giving our students the opportunity to showcase their hard work and creativity. We host several performances throughout the year, including our annual summer show. Our performances are a chance for our students to demonstrate their skills and gain confidence in their abilities as performers.

SYPC is located at the Old Diorama Arts Centre in London, UK. The centre is easily accessible by public transport, and is within walking distance of several major tube stations.
