My daughter and I have been with hannah from the very beginning when she opened up the dance school! Almost nearly 4 amazing years down the line and we couldn't have it any other way! The love and support hannah and the rest of the girls have for the dancer is amazing. And to be honest from teaching staff to students to parents we are all like one big family, we all lean on each other, support and encourage the teachers and students all the time! Daughter has danced from age 6months starting out at babyballet and since completing all levels in babyballet she's been with hannah since and she's— Sophie flack
I have been a teacher here at simply dance since it opened and there is no where else I would rather be! It really feels like a dance family. There is such an incredible team of teachers ready to work with every child that walks through the door. The children work so so hard. The parents are such an amazing support system too. I send my sister here as I just love the environment. Would recommend to anyone wanting to start dance themselves or have children that wish to start. It's a fantastic way to make friends, learn something new and gain confidence in a friendly environment 😁— Keeley Bayley

Start with a beginners' class where the fundamentals of frame, timing and basic steps are taught from the ground up. Comfortable clothes and smooth-soled shoes are enough to begin.
The waltz is a popular first dance because its three-count rhythm is easy to feel, while the foxtrot suits social occasions. The teacher can suggest the best starting point for you.
Yes, adults can absolutely learn ballet, and classes exist that are paced for grown-up beginners. You build technique and strength gradually whatever your age.
There is no cut-off; people begin ballet well into adulthood and still enjoy real progress. The key is finding a class pitched at your level.
The grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle are common building blocks. Once learned, they carry over into a huge range of routines.
Short, repetitive dances make the easiest introduction because the sequence is quick to memorise. After a couple of run-throughs you can usually keep up with the group.
