Salsateca has strong teachers that really inspire you to learn how to dance, with an emphasis on how to dance, think, and feel the music, not just copy things like a robot. I’ve tried many other salsa schools that tend to teach a few routines but miss the essential little tips and aspects that Salsateca provide in abundance. It’s clear their teachers have a passion and deep knowledge of what they’re showing you and the intensive courses on Saturdays are a fantastic way to make progress quickly. I was very nervous about starting salsa lessons especially as it was just after covid and like many people I felt I had lost the ability to socialise and make friends. But when I went to my first class at salsateca, I had so much fun in the warm up dance that I immediately knew I would be going back.

I started taking classes regularly and despite finding learning to dance very difficult (and often very embarrassing!), the teachers made the classes so fun and relaxed that I always had a smile on my face.

Salsateca has been the best beginner experience I have had. If not for them and Virginia I would have given up on dancing. Not only the lessons are well structured but you can feel the true passion.

The whole team Elder, Ivan, Julio, Bekki are simply fantastic people who want to provide people with a fabulous and fun experience.

Also having different teachers for the same class made me improve and adapt different techniques. The teachers are competent, friendly, tolerant, nonjudgmental and always willing to help.
