About Us

Russell Ballet Academy is a dance school based in Chesterfield, UK. Founded by professional dancer and choreographer, Russell Smith, the academy has been providing quality dance instruction to students of all ages since 1995. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for dancers of all ages and abilities. We strive to create an atmosphere of respect and understanding amongst our students and staff.

Our classes range from beginner to advanced levels and are designed to help students develop their technical and artistic skills. We also offer private lessons for those who wish to further develop their skills. Our teachers are highly trained and experienced in teaching dance in a variety of styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop.

We encourage our students to work together to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Our Facilities

Our studio is fully equipped with professional grade equipment, including sprung flooring, full-length mirrors, and a sound system. We also have a comfortable lounge area where students can relax before and after classes.
