What Dancers Say About Rendezvous For Dancing

5/5 from 23 Google reviews.

When my (now) husband said he had booked us into wedding "first dance" lessons I thought he was mad! I wasn't sure how anyone could teach us to do anything other than shuffle… but Charlotte managed it and she did an amazing job! She patiently taught us week on week and laughed along with us when we clearly had no idea what we'd done wrong or how we were now facing the wrong way! 🤦🏻‍♀️ 😂 But we got there, we suprised our crowd with some very shocked onlookers and the main thing was we felt proud we did it! Thank you Charlotte for your determination and passion for dance x— Natalie B

Highly recommend Charlotte and Matt to teach you some Dance moves. They are clear with instructions and make something really difficult to learn look simple by breaking it all down. They are really good fun and bounce off each to help make it light hearted and a enjoyable evening. Each week starts with a recap on the previous lesson. Great for those of us who's memory isn't so great. We think the price is reasonable and you'll definitely come away with a spring in your step.— Colleen Hands

Charlotte is a fantastic dancer. As a dance teacher, she maintains high attention and patience to ensure the end product is best as can be.

We asked her to help our first dance for our wedding. She handled the job with the highest level of importance and composed a routine that worked perfectly to our first dance song.

If you’re thinking of taking up dancing, I’d definitely give rendezvous a call.— Neeraj Madan

We started attending Rendezvous for Dancing classes last year and can't recommend them highly enough! The lessons are well structured with Charlotte and Matt being very patient which is just as well with my two left feet! Great social aspect, great exercise, great organised trips but most importantly we have such a laugh and not always at my expense, mostly but not always!— Andrew Holloway-Breward

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa is one of the friendlier partner dances to start, since the basic step follows a repeating count that most people pick up within a session. Genuine fluency, timing and styling take longer, but the fundamentals come quickly.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes. Complete beginners with no background make up much of any starter class, and salsa is regularly taught from scratch. Steady practice counts for far more than natural talent.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Absolutely. Adult ballet is designed for people starting later in life, building posture, strength and technique at a sensible pace. Your goals differ from a child working towards exams, but real progress is very achievable.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no upper age limit for learning ballet. Professional careers begin in childhood, but recreational classes welcome adults of any age and adapt to different levels of fitness and mobility.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common building blocks include the grapevine, the step-touch, the kick-ball-change, the pivot turn and the shuffle. Most line dances arrange these familiar moves in different orders.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Short, repetitive routines such as the Cupid Shuffle or the Electric Slide are popular first choices, because a brief sequence repeats all the way through the song.
