What Dancers Say About Polepeople Dance & Fitness

4.9/5 from 68 Google reviews.

Polepeople is awesome!! A quaint, well lit studio with plenty of mirrors. The lighting is welcoming and great for pictures and videos. I've been pole dancing for 3 years in California. I was traveling through London, and was looking for my pole fix. I did a afternoon mixed level drop in class and it was perfect. It was an hour and very reasonably priced. My instructor, Aneta, was great at teaching a pole trick and breaking it down into different levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. It felt like all the students were getting even attention. All the students were super welcoming and sup— Teny Chen

I don't often leave reviews but when I feel that a company or person truly deserves recognition then I do and Polepeople is one of them. I have been attending Polepeople for nearly 3 years and I can honestly say I love this company. I have attended other schools so I know what I'm talking about! And I have only attended other schools due to logistics when meeting old pole friends! The variety of teachers I have had have all been absolutely amazing, from their technique to their friendliness to their professionalism to their supportiveness. Even the atmosphere is great between dancers, I have h— S K

I naturally fell in love with it.

When I went to Polepeople to do the beginner course, it was mostly to try something new without real expectation

Far away from the usual connotation , this is a real fun and quality workout that build your entire body.
Pole dancing is an art and a sport challenge where you don't stop progressing.

The teachers are great to explain step by step to master each figure until one day you start do combos and why not a choreography.

This is a wonderful atmosphere and if you think you will never manage to lift yourself from that pole or not confident enough, come t— Christophe Donot

Very nice place! The instructors are nice and very patient
The only thing I don’t like is that sometimes they do half an hour of “free style”… which I see very uncomfortable because I am there to learn, so it means that I need someone to tell me what to do and not being waiting for 10 minutes for the instructor to come to be with me 2 min. I only do one hour a week so it’s very important for me to take the maximum of it!
Also don’t understand why they don’t allow people to use dry hands, my hands sometimes get very sweaty and it makes me feel comfortable on the pole. Never saw that before !— Vic Micaela

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa comes together for most people once the basic rhythm feels natural, which is usually the trickiest early hurdle. Regular practice over a few weeks builds enough confidence to dance socially.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes. Salsa classes are designed for people with no dance background, and most students start from scratch. Consistency counts for more than any inborn ability.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

It certainly is, through beginner classes made for adult learners. Progress may be gradual, but the gains in strength, posture and coordination are noticeable early on.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no age at which it becomes too late to enjoy ballet. Adult classes welcome beginners of any age and centre on technique and pleasure rather than performance.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Typical basics include the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle. Line dances combine these repeating moves into short sequences.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Short, well-known routines with a simple repeating pattern are the easiest to pick up. Dancing in unison with the group lets you follow along until it clicks.
