Our History

The Paterson School of Dancing was founded in 1999 by the Paterson family. The school was originally located in a small studio in the centre of Edinburgh, but as the school grew in popularity, the Patersons moved the school to its current location in Cambridge Gardens.

The school has since become an iconic landmark in the city of Edinburgh, and has been featured in a number of national and international publications. The Patersons have always been committed to providing a high quality dance education to all their students, and have developed a strong sense of community amongst their students.

Our Teachers

The Paterson School of Dancing is proud to have some of the most experienced and highly qualified teachers in the country. Our teachers are all passionate about dance and have a wealth of experience in teaching all styles of dance. They are dedicated to providing a safe and encouraging environment for all their students and to helping them reach their fullest potential.

Our Classes

The Paterson School of Dancing offers a wide range of classes for all levels of experience. We offer classes in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip hop, and more. We also offer classes for both children and adults, so there is something for everyone.

Our Facilities

The Paterson School of Dancing is proud to have some of the best facilities in the country. Our studios are all fully equipped with the latest equipment and our teachers have access to the latest technology. We also have a large dance hall for our students to practice in, and a comfortable lounge area for students to relax in.
