North Star Academy is a professional dance school located in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Founded in 2005, the Academy offers a wide range of classes and activities to both adults and children. Our mission is to foster a love of dance in our students, while providing them with the skills and knowledge to excel in the art of dance.

Our History

North Star Academy was established in 2005 by professional dancer and choreographer, Sarah Jones. She wanted to create a place where people of all ages and abilities could come together to learn and enjoy the art of dance. Since then, the Academy has grown to become one of the leading dance schools in the UK, with students from all over the world coming to learn from our experienced and passionate teachers.

Our Classes

At North Star Academy, we offer classes for all ages and abilities. Our classes include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Street Dance, Ballroom, Latin and more. We also offer a range of specialised classes, such as Acro Dance, Cheerleading, and Musical Theatre. Our teachers are all highly experienced and passionate about their art, and are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.

Our Facilities

At North Star Academy, we are proud to offer our students the best facilities to learn and practice their dance skills. Our studios are spacious and equipped with the latest sound and lighting systems. We also have a fully stocked shop, offering a range of clothing and dancewear, as well as a range of accessories and props for our classes.

Our Events

At North Star Academy, we are passionate about providing our students with the best opportunities to showcase their skills. We host regular events and competitions, such as our annual Summer Showcase, where our students can perform in front of an audience. We also host regular workshops and masterclasses with guest teachers from around the world, as well as our own in-house teachers.

We are committed to providing our students with the best opportunities to learn, grow and develop their skills, as well as to build relationships with other dancers. We also run a range of outreach programmes, such as our annual Summer Dance Programme, which provides free dance classes to the local community.
