The Maria Carney School of Dance is a professional dance school based in Ferryhill, County Durham. We offer a variety of classes for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced level dancers. Our aim is to provide quality tuition in a fun and friendly environment, allowing everyone to enjoy the art of dance.

Our History

The Maria Carney School of Dance was founded in 1997 by Maria Carney, a professional dancer with many years of experience in the art of dance. Since then, the school has grown to become a well-respected dance school in the North East of England. We have been providing dance tuition for over 20 years and our students have gone on to become professional dancers, teachers and choreographers.

Classes

We offer a wide range of classes, including Ballroom, Latin, Street Dance, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary. Our classes are suitable for all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced dancers. Our experienced teachers will ensure that you get the most out of your classes and will help you to reach your full potential. We also offer private tuition and group classes for individuals or groups.

Events

At the Maria Carney School of Dance we are committed to providing our students with the opportunity to perform in a variety of events. We hold regular performances, competitions and workshops throughout the year. We also offer master classes and workshops with some of the top professional dancers in the country.

Facilities

Our school is based in a purpose-built facility in Ferryhill, County Durham. We have a spacious studio with a sprung wooden floor, a professional sound system and a fully equipped changing room. We also have a range of props and equipment to help you to get the most out of your classes.
