The Jill Bridger School of Dance/Melody Bear HQ provides a comprehensive range of dance classes, both recreational and competitive, in the beautiful town of St. Ives, Cambridgeshire.

Our Mission

We strive to provide an inspiring and enjoyable learning environment for all our students, and to help them to reach their maximum potential. Our goal is to help our students develop a love of dance, and to foster a sense of community among our students, teachers and parents.

Our History

The Jill Bridger School of Dance/Melody Bear HQ was founded in the mid-1990s by the late Jill Bridger. Jill was a professional dancer and teacher with a passion for teaching children and adults of all abilities. She was dedicated to providing the highest quality of instruction, and her passion for dance and teaching was continued by her daughter, who now runs the school.

Our Classes

The Jill Bridger School of Dance/Melody Bear HQ offers a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities, including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and ballroom. We also offer special classes for toddlers and pre-schoolers, as well as classes for adults. We are proud to be a registered centre for the Melody Bear Dance Programme, which is the perfect foundation for young children to begin their dance journey.

Our Facilities

The Jill Bridger School of Dance/Melody Bear HQ is located in a purpose-built studio in the centre of St. Ives. Our spacious studio is equipped with a sprung floor, full-length mirrors, and a sound system, and is perfect for all types of dance. We also have a comfortable waiting area for parents and guardians, as well as a café and shop where students can purchase dancewear and related items.

Our Teachers

At the Jill Bridger School of Dance/Melody Bear HQ, we are proud to have a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers. All our teachers have a passion for dance and teaching, and are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.

Our Competitions

We are proud to be affiliated with the British Dance Council, and our students have the opportunity to take part in competitions and festivals around the country. We also offer the chance for our students to take part in our own in-house competitions and festivals.
