About Us

J C L School of Dance from Bishop’s Stortford is an established dance school in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire. We offer a wide range of dance classes for all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced. Whether you are looking to take up a new hobby, improve your skills or compete in competitions, J C L School of Dance has something for everyone.

Our experienced and qualified dance instructors are passionate about teaching and helping our students reach their full potential. We provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our students to learn and grow in. We strive to help our students develop their technique, artistry, and performance skills, as well as build their confidence through dance.

Classes

At J C L School of Dance, we offer a variety of classes to suit all ages and abilities. Our classes include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Street Dance. We also offer classes for children aged 3-4, and adult classes for those over 18.

Our Ballet classes focus on developing the student’s technique, artistry, and performance skills. We teach the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and our students have the opportunity to take part in examinations and competitions.

Our Tap classes are designed to develop rhythm, co-ordination, and musicality. We teach the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus, and our students have the opportunity to take part in examinations and competitions.

Our Jazz classes are a fun and energetic way to learn about dance. We teach the ISTD syllabus, and our students have the opportunity to take part in examinations and competitions.

Our Street Dance classes are a great way to learn about contemporary dance. We teach a range of styles, including Hip Hop, Breakdance, and House.

Events

At J C L School of Dance, we host a variety of events throughout the year. From our regular social dances to our annual show, we have something for everyone.

Our social dances are a great way to meet new people and have fun. We host regular dances throughout the year, including waltz, tango, and salsa.

Our annual show is an exciting event that showcases our students’ hard work and dedication. We invite our students to perform in our show, and our audience can enjoy a variety of performances from our talented dancers.

J C L School of Dance is located at Bishops Park Community Centre, Lancaster Way, Bishop’s Stortford CM23 4DA. We are easy to reach from the M11 and Stansted Airport.
