Hype had been my family for 9yrs. It is the only dance school I have found that welcomes and encourages adults of all abilities to dance. Anna persuaded me to take my teaching qualification and I couldn't thank her enough!!! I can honestly say it is the best school I have had the pleasure of attending and teaching at… The teachers are amazing, welcoming and supportive… I have yet to find another place comparible now I no longer live in Sheffield ❤️— Sadie Noton
My daughter trains at Hype and loves it.
During her time dancing she has trained at a couple of different school/academies and in her opinion Hype is the best. It has a great, welcoming atmosphere with approachable staff.
Fully secure building and fantastic facilities.
Definitely recommend.— Keiley Cunningham
It's a really good place. I danced there as well, so I don't know what to say about that, but it's a really good place. Yeah. You guys should definitely go there. It's really good. I'm the map helps you find it as well. It's good. Thanks 5-star rating.😄😄😄😄😄😄✌— Cathy Esao
Fabulous community dance school with inclusivity at it's heart, providing an environment where everyone can live their dancing dreams whether they aspire to a future career in dance or are a more mature (!) adult beginner. Cannot recommend highly enough.— Carmen O'Dell
The basic salsa step is quick to learn, and challenge builds gently through turns and timing. Most beginners are surprised how soon they can dance socially.
Yes, salsa beginners' classes are aimed at people with no experience. Regular practice steadily builds confidence.
Adults can absolutely take up ballet, and this is a school that actively welcomes adult learners. Technique develops gradually in a supportive setting.
There is no age limit for ballet, and adults of all ages enjoy it. For grown-ups the focus is on posture, technique and enjoyment.
Common building blocks include the grapevine, kick-ball-change, pivot turn, shuffle and coaster step. These moves appear across many routines.
Short routines with a small number of counts and lots of repetition are easiest to start with. Ask which beginner dances are taught locally.
