My daughter loves this school she has been here for many years now, she does many of the classes and competes so has specially choreographed pieces designed for her by the teachers, she also loves taking part in the yearly show and summer school. The principal, studio manager and teachers are so welcoming and all go above and beyond to help the pupils to be the best they possibly can be. I can’t speak highly enough of the school and the support and services it offers the dancers.— Kirsty Johnson

Love this place, my daughter has thrived since joining this dance school, the teaching is so good she has now been offered a place at a top performing arts college in London with a scholarship as well as being selected to represent England at the Dance World Cup this year. Frequently Asked Questions

How do you start ballroom dancing?

The usual way in is a beginners' class where you learn the basic frame, posture and a couple of straightforward dances such as the waltz or quickstep. You do not need a partner, as classes generally rotate dancers around the room.

What ballroom dance to learn first?

Many people begin with the waltz because its slow, steady rhythm makes the timing easy to feel. The social foxtrot or quickstep are also common starting points depending on what the class is teaching.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, adults take up ballet regularly, and classes for grown-up beginners focus on posture, strength and control. Progress is gradual but very achievable at a pace that suits you.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no upper limit for recreational ballet. A professional path needs an early start, but adults of any age can dance for fitness, poise and enjoyment.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common steps include the grapevine, the kick-ball-change, the pivot turn, the shuffle and the coaster step. Line dances combine these into fixed sequences, so learning them helps across many routines.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Simple four-wall dances with short, repeated sequences, such as the Cupid Shuffle, are good first choices. They use a handful of steps and are quick to pick up.
