About Us

Dartington Morris from Totnes is a dance school, dance club, and musical club based in Shinner’s Bridge, Dartington, Totnes. Founded in 1996, we have been providing classes and performances for our local community for over two decades. We are dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional English folk dancing, as well as exploring new dance styles and rhythms. Our members come from all walks of life, from beginners to experienced dancers, and our classes are suitable for all ages.

Our Classes

We offer a wide range of classes to suit all levels of experience. Our beginner classes are designed to introduce the basics of English folk dance, while our more advanced classes explore more complex rhythms and steps. We also offer classes in other dance styles such as tap, ballet, and jazz. In addition to our weekly classes, we also offer workshops and special events throughout the year.

Our Performances

Our performances are a highlight of our activities. We regularly perform at local events such as festivals and fairs, as well as at larger events such as the Royal Albert Hall. Our performances include traditional English folk dances, as well as contemporary styles such as hip-hop and breakdancing. We also host our own annual show, which is a highlight of our season.
