The Darlington Academy of Performing Arts (DAPA) is a leading provider of dance education and performance in the UK. We provide a range of classes for all ages, from beginners to advanced, as well as a range of performance opportunities. Our mission is to inspire and develop the talent of our students and to provide them with the skills and confidence to pursue their dreams in the performing arts.

Our History

DAPA was founded in 2010 by local dancer and choreographer, Sarah Darlington. Sarah had a vision to create a school that would foster the talent of young dancers in the area and provide them with the opportunity to pursue their dreams in the performing arts. Since then, DAPA has grown to become one of the leading dance schools in the UK, with over 200 students enrolled each year.

Our Classes

At DAPA, we offer a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities. Our classes are designed to develop the skills and confidence of our students, and to provide them with the opportunity to pursue their dreams in the performing arts. Our classes include ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, contemporary, and musical theatre. We also offer classes in theatre, singing, and acting.

Our Performance Opportunities

At DAPA, we believe in providing our students with the opportunity to perform in a professional setting. We offer a variety of performance opportunities, such as our annual Dance Showcase and our annual Theatre Production. We also provide our students with the opportunity to perform in professional venues, such as theatres and festivals.

Our Facilities

At DAPA, we are proud to offer our students the best possible facilities. Our two studios are fully equipped with the latest equipment, including sprung floors, mirrors, and sound systems. We also have a dedicated rehearsal room and a costume room.
