What Dancers Say About Dancefest

5/5 from 2 Google reviews.

For the fourth year in a row our school has had the pleasure in taking part in the annual Dancefest event. It has become a yearly favourite amongst the children. Every year we are blown away by the outcome of the sessions lead by Janene. She has a real knack for motivating and inspiring the most unlikely of students. She goes above and beyond in the planning and support around the sessions. We cannot recommend them enough!

In the words of the children: 'The best part of the week!'— Sarah Bent

The best dance classes. My daughter loved her lessons, and learnt so much as well as dance – how to develop her ideas and creativity and how to work with friends to create dance together.— Jennifer Way

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa is gentle to begin, resting on a simple repeating step that soon feels natural. It grows more challenging only as you add turns and styling at your own pace.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes, salsa welcomes complete beginners, and starter classes are full of people who have never danced. The moves are taught gradually so newcomers can follow.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common core steps include the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle. They appear throughout many routines, so learning them early pays off.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

A short dance with a simple looping sequence is the easiest to start with. Instructors often begin here so beginners can dance to a full song quickly.

Can you learn to dance without a partner?

Yes, many dance forms including creative and solo styles need no partner at all. You can attend on your own and take part fully.

What should I wear to a beginner dance class?

Comfortable clothes you can move in and soft footwear or bare feet suit most creative and beginner classes. It is always fine to check ahead if you are unsure.
