Dance United Yorkshire (DUY) is a vibrant and passionate organisation based in Bradford, dedicated to celebrating and promoting the art of dance. Since its establishment in 2005, DUY has become a leading provider of dance classes, events, and performances in the local area. With a mission to make dance accessible to all, DUY has developed a wide range of programs and initiatives to bring the joy of dance to everyone.
At DUY, our mission is to promote and celebrate the art of dance in all its forms. We strive to make dance accessible to everyone, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, or ability. We believe that dance should be a source of joy and empowerment, and we strive to provide a safe and supportive environment where everyone can express themselves through movement.
At DUY, we offer a wide range of programs and initiatives to make dance accessible to everyone. Our classes include everything from ballet and contemporary to hip-hop and jazz. We also offer regular workshops and events, such as our popular Dance and Dine evenings, where participants can enjoy a meal and a dance. We also offer a range of performance opportunities, such as our annual Dance Showcase, where our students can showcase their hard work and talent.
Our team of highly experienced and passionate instructors are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for everyone. Our instructors have a wealth of experience in the dance industry and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise with our students. We also have a dedicated team of volunteers who help to ensure that our events and classes run smoothly.
DUY is based at St Peter’s House, Kala Sangam Arts Centre in Bradford. Our venue is fully equipped with a sprung dance floor, a sound system, and a range of lighting and staging equipment. We also have a fully licensed bar and cafe, offering a wide range of refreshments.
