4.7/5 from 26 Google reviews.

Dance Revolution is, well, a revolution. Instead of learning set a sequence of moves in a bar, this place actually teaches you to dance in a way that you will remember. Classes for every level in salsa, bachata, kizomba and belly dance, classes are cleverly structured but lots of fun. The atmosphere is relaxed and teachers and students are friendly. If you want to learn any of these styles in Sheffield, but feel that you're not making any progress learning in bars, this is place to come.— Simon Otter

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa is very approachable at beginner level because it builds on a simple repeating rhythm and a handful of core steps. Most people manage the basic timing within their first class or two, and progress comes with regular practice rather than natural talent.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Absolutely, and many people who join here have never danced before. Beginner sessions assume no prior experience and introduce the moves gradually so you are not thrown in at the deep end.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, adults can take up ballet and enjoy the strength, posture and control it develops. Adult classes are paced for grown-up bodies and there is no expectation that you danced as a child.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no upper age limit for beginning ballet as a hobby. People take it up in their forties, sixties and beyond, working at a level that suits their fitness and flexibility.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common building blocks include the grapevine, the step-touch, the kick-ball-change, the pivot turn and the shuffle. Most line dances string these familiar moves together, so learning them once helps you pick up many routines.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Simple four-wall dances with a short, repeating sequence tend to be easiest for newcomers. Once you grasp a basic step pattern, you can follow along without needing to memorise anything complicated in advance.
