What Dancers Say About Club Azucar – Latin Dance

5/5 from 72 Google reviews.

I took the beginner's Bachata class from Jan – Mar '23 with my partner and we had a fantastic time. I had some previous dancing experience but my partner had none. The instructors were very friendly and able to explain all the steps in an accessible way for both of us – within a few weeks we had mastered some basic steps and were dancing choreography.

Each class built on previous skills/foundations with a quick recap – I have been in other classes where we did the same steps/choreography every session which felt tedious, however I felt like I learnt something new in every session! Both instru— Annabel Edwards

I have been coming to Zumba with Patricia and Ginu for many years, it is such a well run family company. Their warm & positive welcome, Patricia's fantastic teaching and fun attitude, brilliant music, Ginu's technical skills on zoom, DJing and the friendly group of people, many of whom are regulars, makes for a fantastic time. From classes in the hall, via Zoom and in the park there is no stopping us getting our Zumba hit! I particularly enjoyed being in the park when the weather is good. My Zumba classes are the highlight of the week. I ALWAYS leave with a smile on my face and a good feeling— Siobhan Hennelly

Before we even get into reviewing the dance studio… I would like to note both Patricia and Ginu are incredibly warming and welcoming individuals and truly genuine.

I was desperate for a private bachata lesson for me and my wife to celebrate our first anniversary. I gave 3 days notice to Gino and not only did he squeeze us in for saturday, the detail covered in our first lesson was amazing!

fully recommend this company as a whole. They are latin american dancers which made the experience feel more authentic.

Lastly they recorded a video and their editing skills are top notch!— Guled Rashid

My wife and I have been taking lessons with Ginu since January 2023. Every lesson is relaxed, fun and a good work out too. We are so impressed with how much we have picked up; and how much we have laughed along the way. Ginu and Patricia are warm and generous teachers.

As the session is small numbers and mostly couples, it is not as overwhelming and awkward as some other places we tried before. Definitely recommend giving this a try – you may get hooked!!— Jaydeep

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

The basic step is easy to pick up, so most people dance something recognisable in their first lesson. Getting smooth and confident takes practice, but the quick early wins keep it rewarding.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes, most beginners arrive with no dance background at all. Classes assume nothing and introduce the movement gradually.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

It is, and adult ballet classes are widely available for those beginning later. You work at your own pace and steadily build posture and strength.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no age that is too late for recreational ballet. Adults across the age range take it up and enjoy the benefits regardless of when they start.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common building blocks include the grapevine, the step-touch, the kick-ball-change, the pivot turn and simple forward-and-back steps. Most line dances combine a handful of these into a repeating sequence.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Simple, short routines with plenty of repetition are the friendliest starting point. A teacher can point you to an easy beginner dance to build your confidence.
