Bradley Dance Freelance is a freelance dance teacher offering ballroom, Latin and salsa tuition, with a reputation built on patience and a genuinely encouraging manner. Reviewers describe supportive, welcoming sessions where people of different ages and abilities enjoy themselves while learning. Both couples and individuals are catered for, from wedding first dances to regular social classes. It is a good fit for anyone who wants to grow in confidence at a comfortable pace.
As a freelance instructor, Bradley teaches across a range of settings and tailors sessions to the people in front of him. Dancers speak of a friendly, professional approach that helps them blossom in both ability and self-assurance.
Tuition spans ballroom, Latin-American and salsa, so you can work on smooth partner dances such as the waltz or something livelier with a stronger beat. Steps are broken down clearly and revisited until they feel natural, which suits complete beginners as much as returning dancers. Wedding couples can have a first dance choreographed to their song and kept within their skills, as past couples have found. The atmosphere across sessions is repeatedly described as fun, supportive and easy-going.
Come in clothes you can move freely in and shoes with a smooth sole that will turn on the floor. No previous experience or partner is required, and it helps to arrive ready to laugh a little as you learn.
Sessions are taught at various venues, so it is worth confirming which location suits you before your first visit.
What a fantastic experience we had learning our wedding dance with Bradley. Personable, intuitive, easy going,
Flexible, incredibly talented, patient and a wonderful teacher. He choreographed our whole dance, which really made the crowd cheer. It was within our skills so we managed to perfume it faultlessly. I couldn’t recommend him more. Worth every penny and went the extra mile for a wonderful all round experience. We were so so happy with the entire journey with him and the results. He definitely knows how to deliver an A star service and just has a beautifully uplifting way about him. We w— Georgina

I really look forward to Wednesday evenings as it's dance classes in Cosby with the amazing Bradley. He's a brilliant teacher whose enthusiasm is so infectious that everyone tries their very best to succeed.
He is a brilliant ballroom and Latin dance teacher who can switch to any style immediately.
His attention to technique is so precise that I almost feel like a professional dancer myself!
His videos are great for reminding us about what we have learnt in previous lessons.
Best night of the week.— Dawn Smyth
Yes, many people come along by themselves. Steps can be learned solo and put together with a partner later, and in group settings partners are often rotated so nobody misses out.
Comfortable clothing and shoes with a smooth sole are the main things, so you can turn without sticking. For Latin and salsa, a shoe that lets you pivot easily makes a real difference.
Group classes in the UK generally sit around five to fifteen pounds a session, while one-to-one lessons cost more for the private time. It is best to ask about current rates.
The waltz and cha-cha-cha are gentle entry points, and salsa is popular for those who want something sociable and rhythmic. The best pick usually depends on the music you most enjoy.
Many adults start with a social ballroom dance like the waltz or a beginner-friendly Latin dance such as the cha-cha-cha, as both build the fundamentals of moving with a partner. Salsa is another approachable and sociable option.
Gentle dancing can be a pleasant form of light exercise, but anyone with heart failure or another medical condition should speak to their doctor before starting. A teacher can then help adapt the pace to what is comfortable.
