Our History

Ballet Alto was founded in London in 1993 by renowned ballet dancer and choreographer Julianne Smith. Julianne’s passion for ballet and her commitment to excellence have been the driving force behind our success. Over the years, we have grown from a small school to a full-fledged ballet academy, offering classes for students of all ages and levels of experience.

Beginner Classes

Our intermediate classes build on the fundamentals learned in our beginner classes. We focus on more advanced technique, steps, and posture. We also introduce students to the choreography of ballet.

Advanced Classes

Our advanced classes are designed for students who have mastered the fundamentals of ballet. We focus on mastering technique, steps, and posture. We also introduce students to the artistry of ballet.

Our Location

Ballet Alto is located in the heart of London at the Free Church Hall in Northway. Our facility is equipped with a full-sized ballet studio, changing rooms, and showers. We also have a spacious lobby area where students can relax and socialize.
