About babyballet® Ashford, Headcorn & Canterbury

Parents describe warm, entertaining teachers who draw every child in, including those who are shy, and praise the genuinely inclusive approach. One review notes how well the class accommodated a child with an upper limb difference, which speaks to real care and adaptability across the group.

Classes & Dance Styles

Classes are age-banded for the youngest dancers, using songs, stories and simple movements to build coordination, rhythm and confidence through play. Each session follows a familiar, comforting structure so children know what to expect, with steps kept gentle and fun rather than technical. Ask about the right class band for your child's age.

What to Expect on Your First Visit

What Dancers Say About babyballet® Ashford, Headcorn & Canterbury

5/5 from 2 Google reviews.

It's such a pleasure watching Miss Evie, who runs the Movers class my 3 yr old attends, at work. She's so entertaining and very warm with the children encouraging them all to participate, even those who are a little shy. I know I'm not the only parent who thinks it as I've heard others speak very highly of her as well. We're very grateful to have such a talented performer running the class and my daughter and I really enjoy our Sunday mornings at Baby Ballet!— Laura Hill

My little girl is 5&half months and has an upper limb difference. Some things are a little bit harder for her to do, but the class is perfect for her. She absolutely loves it and is always smiling. Miss Evie is fantastic and makes sure to include everyone. Highly recommend— Emily Rogers

Absolutely fantastic classes would completely recommend to anyone. The teachers are so inclusive and welcoming.— Nicole Boriani-fisher

Mr Matty is an incredible teacher, so supportive of the students and so fun! A joy to watch his classes— Holly May Magill

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you learn to dance without a partner?

Yes, these early-years classes are all danced solo, with children moving individually in a group. No partner is involved at any stage.

What should I wear to a beginner dance class?

For a young child, comfortable clothing they can move freely in and soft shoes or bare feet are ideal. The school can advise if it has branded kit or a preferred outfit.

How much does a dance class usually cost?

Fees depend on the venue and whether you pay per term or per class, so ask the school for current rates. Taster sessions are commonly offered.

Which dance is best for beginners?

For very young children, a playful movement-and-music class like this is the ideal introduction, building coordination and confidence before any formal technique.

What is the best dance to start as an adult?

This school focuses on young children, so it is not aimed at adult beginners. Adults are usually best starting with a friendly beginner class in a style they enjoy, such as ballet, salsa or street.

Is dancing good for heart failure?

Gentle activity can support general wellbeing, but anyone with heart failure or another medical condition should speak to their doctor before starting. Always follow professional medical advice.
