What Dancers Say About Amy Young Dance

5/5 from 8 Google reviews.

Amy was an absolutely fantastic, patient and fun dance teacher. My maid of honour surprised me with a Beyoncé Single Ladies inspired dance class for my hen weekend. Dancing is usually so far out of my comfort zone so I was very nervous to begin with but it was an utterly brilliant experience! We had so much fun with Amy and the end result was a fab dance routine with fantastic character which we feel confident to rock out later into the evening on the big day (after a few glasses of champagne!). The added bonus of a personalised gift is the cherry on top! Thank you so much Amy for the wonderfu— Kirsty Mead

I organised a spice girls themed dance class for a friends hen do with Amy and we all had such an amazing time! The booking process was very easy and stress free, Amy was in contact with me throughout, and was quick to answer any questions or queries I had. The dance class itself was so much fun, we were all mixed abilities but Amy made sure everyone was able to join in and have a good time. The goody-bag that we received at the end which included a personalised shot glass was a really lovely touch, one that really made Amy's company stand out to me.
We laughed throughout the class and all the— Kate Dillon

Amy helped us celebrate our Nan's 100th birthday, not only did they do a fantastic dance show for us all to watch they then taught us some Charleston moves to perform for our Nan. It was brilliant, so much fun, all the family got involved and we are an extremely competitive family so we had a friendly dance off! My Nan was thrilled and thoroughly enjoyed herself, it really made this extra special birthday even more special! I would highly recommend her to anyone.— Gemma Box

Amy specifically choreographed a routine for our hen party, and completely blew us away! With a range of ages and abilities Amy kept us all engaged and laughing the entire time she was with us. Not only that, but due to classic British summertime weather our outdoor class started off a bit wet but this didn’t phase her one bit and she kept us all up and going the entire time! Thanks so much Amy- now just to perform our routine at the wedding!— Kate J

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa is easy to begin because it is built on a few repeated steps and a clear rhythm. Most people can move to the music within a few lessons, with more advanced turns and styling added later.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes, beginner salsa is designed for people with no experience. The timing is taught slowly and built up gradually, so no dance background is needed to join in.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, adults can take up ballet at any stage, though a dedicated ballet school suits ongoing training better than an events-focused company. Adult beginner classes build posture and coordination at a comfortable pace.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no age too late for recreational ballet. Adults begin in their forties, fifties and beyond for the strength and poise it develops, working within their own range.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Line dancing draws on moves such as the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, coaster step and pivot turn. These few steps recombine across many routines, making the style quick to pick up.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

A short four-wall dance with a repeating sequence is the easiest starting point, since the same pattern returns after each turn. Beginning with a slow, familiar routine helps the timing click.
