Our members come from all walks of life and enjoy a wide variety of dances, from traditional to contemporary. We provide a friendly atmosphere and an opportunity to learn, practice, and share the joy of Scottish country dancing.
ALBA SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCERS was founded in 1996 by a group of passionate Scottish country dancers. Our club has grown steadily over the years and now boasts over 100 members. We have a wide range of ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced. Our members come from all over the United Kingdom, as well as from other countries.
Our club offers a variety of activities for our members. We host regular classes and workshops to teach the basics of Scottish country dancing. We also organize monthly social dances, which are open to all members and their guests. We also host special events such as ceilidhs and balls.
We are based in the Burgh Hall in Partick, Glasgow. The Burgh Hall is a historic building that was built in the late 19th century and has been used for a variety of functions over the years. It is a perfect venue for our activities and provides a great atmosphere for our members to enjoy.
