What Dancers Say About A&L Dance Academy

4.8/5 from 45 Google reviews.

My son (who is 21 months) attended the Teddy Bear Class for the first time, it was really great. We were made to feel so welcome by the teachers and the class was really well put together, the teachers are fab and really know what they are doing. If anyone is worried about Covid-19 measures, they have safety measures in place, you feel very safe, but it doesn't take over the enjoyment. I would highly recommend A&L Dance Academy 💃🐻— Natalie Masters

Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

The basic salsa step is quite simple, so most people can dance a short pattern early on. The finer points of timing and partnering develop with regular practice. Steady attendance is what turns the basics into confidence.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Absolutely, salsa is one of the more welcoming dances for someone who has never danced. Beginner classes start from the ground up. No prior rhythm or experience is assumed.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, adults take up ballet regularly, and there are classes designed for beginners well past childhood. The gains in posture, strength and control are worthwhile at any age. Progress is simply matched to the adult body.

What age is too late to start ballet?

No age closes the door on ballet, and adults begin in every decade of life. Beginner classes are paced to suit where you are now. Consistency matters far more than the age you start.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

The grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle are among the most common. They recur across a wide range of routines. Learning them makes new dances much quicker to pick up.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

Simple looping routines such as the electric slide tend to be taught first. Their short repeating sequence is easy to hold in mind. Most beginners can follow along within one session.
