The Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) is a national organisation representing the interests of amateur radio operators in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1913, it is the oldest national amateur radio organisation in the world and is the primary source of information and support for radio amateurs in the UK.

History

The RSGB was formed in 1913 as the Radio Society of Great Britain and Ireland, and is the oldest national amateur radio organisation in the world. It was founded in response to the increasing number of amateur radio operators in the UK, and to provide a forum for them to exchange information and ideas.

The RSGB was initially based in London, but moved to Bedford in the early 1980s. In the 1990s, the organisation was restructured and renamed the Radio Society of Great Britain.
