Our daughter lost her confidence at a previous dance school and decided to take a little time out, we did a little research and listened to a few opinions and recommendations from family, we went to Kings Dance Academy and Miss King and the other dance teachers immediately made her regain love and appetite for dance! The moment we turned up at KDA we felt welcome, Miss King is always looking for new exciting things for all the students. Would definitely recommend. If you want to dance for fun or you want to take it a little more serious. No matter what kings will have the answers. 💛🖤— Natalie

Kings Dance Academy Summer School
My 2 daughters attended last week and absolutely loved it. They both attend a different dance school but have said that this was by far the highlight of their summer holiday. So much so, that we are having to plan next years summer holiday around them attending again. The show on Friday was fantastic and a real sign of all the hard work that had gone into the week by both the children and teachers alike. I can't thank you enough. Brilliant!!— Jo s.t
The simplest way to start is a beginner ballroom class where you learn posture, hold and a few core steps. From there you build up one dance at a time.
Many beginners start with the waltz because its steady three-count rhythm is easy to feel. The school can advise which dance best suits how you want to begin.
Salsa is approachable once the basic step and timing click, which usually comes with a little practice. Beginner classes ease you in without rushing.
Yes, salsa classes assume no experience and start from the very basics. Plenty of complete beginners take it up and enjoy it.
Common ones include the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, shuffle and a pivot turn. Learning these opens up many beginner dances.
A short dance with a few repeating steps danced to each wall is the gentlest introduction. Ask the academy which starter class they recommend.
