Went to a tea dance here for the Queens Platinum Jubilee with a friend who is a regular of Learn To Dance. The event we went to was a fantastic afternoon, very welcoming and well organised, being a tea dance for a special occasion the food was exceptional and plenty of tea with it,a good time had by all. Afraid I can't comment on learning to dance here as we live 120 or so miles away, but our friend thoroughly enjoys going here and learning and improving her dance skills, so,if closer, would be a regular for us.— David Powley
My husband and I have been going to classes for four years and we absolutely love it. Antony and Denise are such good teachers and always make the lessons fun. They have been doing virtual lessons through lockdown which have been tailored to suit small places.
I cant wait till we are allowed back in the studio again. Thoroughly recommend Learn to Dance to anyone who wants to learn.— Ruth Mackrell
Highly recommended! Great teachers who are very patient and make learning to dance fun. Plenty of dance lessons for all levels, social evenings, workshops and dance weekends. Looking forward to our Glastonbury jive weekend in March 🙂— Sue Walker
Myself and my partner have been attending dance lessons here since January 2020, we really enjoy our lessons each week. Anthony, Denise and team are fantastic teachers and so welcoming. Cannot recommend them enough.— Karen Hamflett
The easiest way to start is by joining a beginners' class where the basic holds, posture and steps are taught from scratch. You can begin as a couple or individually and build up gradually.
Many beginners start with the waltz or a straightforward social dance, as these establish timing and frame nicely. Your teacher can suggest a first style based on your pace.
Salsa is very learnable in a class setting, with the basic timing usually falling into place early on. Practice steadily builds your confidence and flair.
Yes, beginner salsa welcomes people with no experience whatsoever. You start with the fundamentals and progress from there.
Absolutely, adult ballet classes are designed for grown-up beginners and build strength, posture and grace. It is never too late to enjoy it recreationally.
There is no age at which recreational ballet is off-limits, as classes adapt to different abilities. It is about enjoyment and the physical benefits rather than performance.
