The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy Upper Norwood is a drama school located in the borough of Upper Norwood in South East London. Founded in 1977, the school has been providing quality drama education and performance opportunities to children and young people in the area for over 40 years.

Our Mission

Our Classes

The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy Upper Norwood offers a range of classes and workshops for children and young people aged 5-18 years. Our classes are designed to encourage creativity, build confidence and develop communication skills. We offer a range of topics including improvisation, mime, physical theatre, script work and much more. Our classes are taught by experienced and qualified drama teachers who are passionate about their craft.

Our Performances

We offer regular performance opportunities for our students, including end of term performances, regional and national festivals, and an annual showcase. Our Facilities

The Helen O’Grady Drama Academy Upper Norwood is based in the Harris City Academy in Crystal Palace. Our facilities include a large theatre space, a rehearsal room, and a range of other spaces for classes, workshops and performances. We also have a range of costumes and props available for use in our classes and performances.
