About PQA Maidenhead

PQA Maidenhead is a part of The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, a network of performing arts schools across the UK. Established in 2008, the school provides a safe and nurturing environment where young people can explore the performing arts and develop their skills in dance, drama and singing.

At PQA Maidenhead, our aim is to help students develop their confidence, creativity and communication skills. We offer a wide range of classes and activities for all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced students. Our classes are taught by experienced and qualified teachers who are passionate about the performing arts.

Our classes are held at Furze Platt Senior School in Maidenhead, which provides a professional and inspiring environment for our students. We also offer a range of extra-curricular activities, such as workshops, masterclasses and performances, which give our students the opportunity to further develop their skills and gain valuable experience.

Classes and Activities

At PQA Maidenhead, we offer a range of classes and activities for all ages and abilities. Our classes are divided into three main categories: Dance, Drama and Singing.

Our Dance classes include Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz and Street Dance. We also offer classes in Musical Theatre, which combines elements of dance, drama and singing.

In our Drama classes, we focus on developing our students’ performance skills and confidence. We offer classes in improvisation, script work, characterisation and physical theatre.

Our Singing classes are designed to help our students develop their vocal technique and performance skills. We offer classes in a variety of styles, including Pop, Musical Theatre and Jazz.

In addition to our regular classes, we also offer a range of extra-curricular activities, such as workshops, masterclasses and performances. These activities give our students the opportunity to further develop their skills and gain valuable experience.
