The Cheerleading Company runs themed dance hen parties and group classes across London and beyond. Rather than a fixed school, it provides organised, one-off dance experiences for celebrations. It is a natural choice for groups wanting a fun, memorable event.
Reviewers repeatedly praise the well-organised sessions and instructors who put nervous groups at ease. It suits hen dos, birthdays and other gatherings looking for a lively, guided dance experience rather than ongoing tuition.
The company's offering sits within the world of dance classes in London aimed at events, with themed routines from Bollywood to Dirty Dancing and pop-inspired choreography. These dance lessons in London are built around fun and inclusivity, so mixed-ability groups can all join in. A typical session teaches a short, achievable routine that the whole group performs together by the end. While not an adult dance classes in London provider in the traditional weekly sense, it delivers a polished, sociable one-off experience.
For a first booking, expect a friendly instructor who breaks the routine down so everyone can follow. Comfortable clothing and shoes you can move in are all that is needed. The emphasis is on laughter and taking part rather than perfect technique.
Sessions can be arranged at venues across London and other locations, so getting there depends on the venue chosen for your group.
Just had a Bollywood dance class this week from the amazing Jen who had travelled all the way from Newcastle to the Lake District to make our experience an amazing one. Jen made us all feel at ease and went above and beyond for us all to learn the routine. Jen even sent me pictures after the class with the piece of music we did the routine to so we could then perform it again if we wanted to.
When I planned this class whilst organising my friends Hen every person I dealt with where so helpful and friendly which made the whole experience a lot easier. Thanks again and I will definitely be recom— Allan Lythgoe-Hurley
What an amazing company! I have used the Cheerleading Co for many of my friends hen do's over the years and would recommend them to anyone! Incredibly well organised and super fun. Shout out in particular to Lucy for teaching Rachel's Beyonce themed hen party recently. She was full of energy and really patient with us. Despite being completely uncoordinated, the girls always make us feel welcome. Rachel had such an amazing afternoon. Cannot thank you enough!! Defo book you guys again soon xx— Jemma James
A group of us did the Dirty Dancing class for a hen do down in Brighton a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic! I was actually delighted when we arrived and saw it was Chesca hosting the class, as randomly (I didn't even realise at the time it was the same company) she'd hosted MY hen do, the previous November when we'd done the Disney themed one in Cambridge. Would highly recommend this, a great afternoon both times. Thanks again!— Tamsin Bosch
Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our dance class with Rea on Saturday. She was the most amazing instructor, we all had a brilliant time. Lots of the Hens were a little anxious going into the class but she made it so fun that everyone soon loosened up. We were a mixed ability class and she was great at making it work for everyone. Thanks so much!— Culture Team
Salsa is quite easy to enjoy at a basic level, especially in a relaxed group setting. The core step and timing are the main things to pick up.
Yes, complete beginners can learn a simple salsa routine, which is exactly what group classes are geared towards. No partner or experience is required.
Yes, adults can learn ballet through dedicated beginner classes, though this company focuses on party and themed routines. Ongoing ballet is best found with a specialist school.
It is never too late to begin ballet. Adults of any age can build technique and enjoyment with regular practice.
Staple steps include the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, pivot turn and shuffle. These form the basis of most beginner routines.
A short routine built on a repeating grapevine is the simplest to master. To arrange a themed group session, contact the company directly.
