I have danced at Elite Dance for around six years and I believe it was one of the best choices I’ve ever made. The environment created by the teachers was amazing from the start. I started with the kids dance class and slowly progressed to doing private lessons on top of that. There has not been a dance class or lesson I have not enjoyed, I’ve always felt like I’m improving by each lesson. The teachers are so supportive and passionate about what they do which has a great influence on us students. Overall Elite had been one of the best experiences and I hope to continue with the school and carr— Ina Vaeremans
After looking for a dance school for a while, my daughter Phoebe-Mae started Elite Dance last year and she absolutely loved it from the very first lesson and really looks forward it every week. We immediately felt comfortable there and the teachers are all so friendly and supportive. The staff all have oodles of experience, qualifications and a real passion for dance and teaching. There is a warm community feel and with the teacher’s encouragement, Phoebe has joined in with competitions, exams and social nights so as well as learning dance, she has made friends and become much more confident i— Kelly S
My daughter Ina Vaeremans has been dancing with Elite Dance for nearly six years. I have been able to watch her develop into the passionate, competent dancer she is, thanks to the many hours of dedication and encouragement by the Elite teaching team. My girl used to be natural timid girl and over the last couple of years, I’ve seen her become much more expressive with her dancing. There is a true family feel in the sense of helping each other whether it be children or teachers. The teachers encourage the kids to help out each other too. So if your looking for a dance school near Chelmsford don’— Frederic Vaeremans
It has been my best New Year's Resolution ever to take up Latin and Ballroom dancing! The Groupon voucher Elite Dance offered was the perfect temptation and the beginners class was exceptionally welcoming and run very professionally by Hannah. The entire teaching team are dedicated, patient and knowledgeable, they have given me the guidance to take exams and the confidence to enter competitions, including a sparkley trip to Blackpool! Now Wednesday's are my absolute favourite day of the week 🙂
The school has an inclusive ethos and dancers of all ages and levels are supportive to each other i— Harriette Warner
Begin with a beginners' ballroom class, where an instructor introduces the hold, posture and a first dance or two. No partner or prior experience is needed to get started.
The waltz is a favourite first dance thanks to its slow, countable rhythm. The social foxtrot is another gentle option, and a teacher can advise based on the class.
Salsa is easy to begin, with the basic step learned within a few classes. Fluency and turns take more practice, but the essentials come quickly.
Yes, salsa is regularly taught to complete beginners. Classes focus on the basic timing first, so no experience is needed.
Yes, adults can take up ballet at any age, with beginner classes designed for later starters. Regular practice builds the posture and strength the style requires.
No age is too late to enjoy ballet, and adults join classes at every stage of life. Only professional performance careers are usually begun in childhood.
