What Dancers Say About SK Dance Fusion

5/5 from 4 Google reviews.

Sibylle's classes are incredible for all levels of dance abilities. She is full of secure knowledge and ensures all of her students are aware of what's important. Sibylle is always full of energy and her classes attract kind, outgoing people, just like herself, which makes the whole experience very inviting and warm. As well as delivering the best dance classes, Sibylle makes sure her students have a great social time together. We often go for drinks as a group, which is always great fun!! There is nothing else like this in York for adult dancers and I'm so grateful I found SK dance fusionπŸ˜€β€” Emily Illingworth

I started Diva Dance classes earlier this year and I LOVE IT!! I was looking for some fun exercise to do, and had tried a few Zumba classes but didn't really enjoy them. Then I came to Sibylle's class and couldn't believe my luck! She is so full of life and makes the classes really fun. The structure of the class is great, and I leave feeling high as a kite… despite having done exercise πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
If you enjoy dancing then this is totally the class for you!! I wish I could go to all the Diva classes every week 😍😍
Thank you Sibylle!! xxβ€” Lucy McLean

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you start ballroom dancing?

Begin with a beginners' class that teaches the hold and basic steps in clear stages. No experience is needed. The first weeks are mostly about getting comfortable with posture and timing.

What ballroom dance to learn first?

The waltz is a common first dance thanks to its slow, steady rhythm. Its even count makes the timing easy to follow. It also builds good habits for later dances.

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa's basic step is quick to grasp, so most beginners feel the rhythm within a few classes. The turns and partner work take longer. Regular practice makes it come together.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes, salsa classes assume no experience at all. You start with the rhythm and basic step and build up from there. Many confident dancers began as complete beginners.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, plenty of adults start ballet later in life. Adult classes focus on posture, strength and control at a comfortable pace. You progress according to your own ability.

What age is too late to start ballet?

It is never too late to enjoy recreational ballet. Professional training starts young, but adult classes welcome all ages. The benefits to balance and flexibility hold at every stage of life.
