Grown-ups often join in, making it a shared activity between child and parent, grandparent or carer. The reward-based structure, such as end-of-class stickers, keeps little ones engaged and looking forward to each week.

Elsie joined baby ballet as a group that she could take Daddy to on a Saturday, which he loved. She now comes with her grandma and great grandma on a Monday and she loves it- she was quite a late walker and we feel the ballet sessions have definitely aided her physically. Elsie is already able to show me some of the things she does in the class (today it was incey wincey) and will even tidy up her toys! I can’t wait to see her progress in the classes. Thank you Miss Emma for introducing her to the world of ballet 🙂 x— Polly Tomley

Putting my little girl into baby ballet classes has been one of the best things we did. She absolutely loves going to every class and her confidence has increased so much since being with other children. She has met other children her age, older and younger and they look forward to seeing each other each week. My daughter loves dressing up in her ballet outfit and joining in all of the songs. Miss Emma is a great teacher and the routines are a lot of fun! We absolutely recommend going to this group!— Karra Smith

Myself and Beatrix have been coming along to classes for a few weeks now and really love it. Miss Emma is lovely and I can already see improvements in Bea’s confidence, following instructions and turn taking. She gets SO excited to receive her sticker at the end of class and insists on going to bed with it 🙈Looking forward to seeing her develop more as the weeks go on 😊— Kristie Fish

my daughter Sophia started baby ballet around 6 months ago, she was extremely shy and upset at first . However with miss Emma's approachable nature and patients she soon got into the baby ballet swing. she has made so much progress with ballet but most of all her social skills and confidence has blossomed. Thank you miss Emma and thank you baby ballet Lincoln north. x— D Bazouki

For young children, comfortable clothing they can move freely in works best, along with soft shoes or bare feet as the class advises.

How much does a dance class usually cost?

Fees vary between locations and whether you pay per session or in a block. Contact the class organiser for current pricing.

Which dance is best for beginners?

For very young children, playful movement-based sessions are ideal, introducing rhythm and coordination through games rather than formal technique.

What is the best dance to start as an adult?

Adults usually begin with an approachable social or fitness style, though these particular sessions are aimed at preschool children rather than grown-ups.

Is dancing good for heart failure?

Light movement suits many people, but anyone with a heart condition should check with their doctor before taking up any new physical activity.
