Teresa is a dedicated dance teacher who went above and beyond to support her dancers with lessons on Zoom as well as providing dance related activities to do at home during the pandemic.
My daughter started dancing at Teresa Blee Dance Ltd. from the age of 3 and is now 17. She loves all her dance classes with Teresa and Debbie and has developed so much confidence in the last 18 months. Now at college she is using all the dance skills she has learnt over the years to enable her to choreograph dance routines and tackle other styles of dance on her musical theatre course.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you learn to dance without a partner?

Yes. Styles such as ballet are danced individually within a class, so no partner is required. Pupils develop their own technique and confidence as they progress.

What should I wear to a beginner dance class?

Comfortable, flexible clothing and soft shoes suited to the style work well. For ballet, fitted clothing that shows alignment is usual, so it is worth checking first.

How much does a dance class usually cost?

Prices vary by class length, level and whether they are paid per term or session. Contact the school directly for current rates.

Which dance is best for beginners?

For young beginners, ballet offers a strong technical grounding, while mixed classes let children sample several styles. The best choice depends on what the dancer enjoys.

What is the best dance to start as an adult?

Adults can start almost any style, though this school focuses on younger dancers. For grown-ups, a beginner ballet or social dance class is usually a comfortable starting point.

Is dancing good for heart failure?

Gentle movement can help many people, but anyone with heart failure should consult their doctor before starting. Activity can then be tailored to a safe level.
