SPSD is simply amazing! I send all my kids here from the tot to the teenager. Our most proudest moment was watching our daughter at the Gordon Craig Theatre in a dance show produce by Tara and her amazing team. All of my children’s confidence has grown immensely and watching them develop shows the dedication and skill of the teachers. I also attend the fitsteps exercise class so it’s not just for the kids it’s for the whole family. If you want a friendly family feel and a wide variety of dance classes sign up now, you won’t regret it!— Vonny Alade
My son and I both attend classes with Tara & Sally and have always felt part of the friendly, family yet professional atmosphere at SPSD. There’s a wide variety of classes on offer and all are run to a really high standard. The children can participate in exams as well as a fantastic show held every other year. There is a competition squad too who enter comps around the country.
Tara works really hard to ensure all pupils feel safe, secure and happy in their classes and they all adore her. Very highly recommended!— Jane Fosbeary

Yes. Many styles are danced solo, and partner classes rotate the group so you never need to bring someone with you.
Comfortable clothes you can move in and clean, smooth-soled shoes are all that is required. Heavily gripped trainers are best avoided for turning styles.
Prices depend on the area and the format, and group classes are usually more affordable than private lessons. Check current rates with the school directly.
It comes down to what appeals, though friendly styles such as ballroom, Latin or line dancing are easy ways in. Choose what draws you and the basics will follow.
Ballroom, Latin and line dancing are popular adult starting points thanks to their structured, sociable classes. The right one is whichever you will look forward to.
Gentle dancing can help general fitness for many, but anyone with a heart condition should consult their GP first and follow medical guidance on activity.
