I've been taking my daughter to the MK Dance centre for the last 3 1/2 years. A truly fantastic place to learn to dance. Classes for children from as young as 18 months with the Baby Boppers, right through to competition dance, and one to one private dance lessons. Frequently Asked Questions

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa is quick to start, with a simple basic step most people grasp early. The timing and partner work take longer to master, but come with practice. It is widely seen as an accessible dance for beginners.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Yes. Salsa beginner classes assume no experience at all and build from the basics. Many keen dancers started with none.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes. Adult beginner ballet is widely offered, and although it takes patience, the posture, control and strength are all achievable later in life.

What age is too late to start ballet?

No age is too late. People take up ballet in later life for its physical and mental benefits. Working at a level suited to your body matters more than when you begin.

What are 5 basic steps in line dancing?

Common building blocks include the grapevine, step-touch, kick-ball-change, jazz box and pivot turn. Most line dances arrange these familiar moves into a repeating sequence.

What is the easiest line dance to learn for beginners?

A dance with a single short repeating pattern is the easiest to begin, since you learn one sequence and repeat it around the floor. Clear, unhurried teaching makes a first line dance simple to follow.
