What Dancers Say About Anglo Dance Studios

4.8/5 from 23 Google reviews.

Booked a private class for our sons fourth birthday. He spends every waking moment dancing and especially loves The Kidzbop songs/choreography. I mentioned this is the dance teacher Maisy and she had all his favourite songs at the ready. It was a group of 5 children as some cancelled last minute and one didn’t want to take part but she managed them so well and was patient and understanding. Myself and another mum were so impressed with how quickly our sons learned the choreo under her guidance that we will definitely be looking into getting them enrolled in the new year. I’m so glad I found An— Isabella

My daughter (6 years) loves going there every Saturday morning. The instructors are all very professional and very friendly. My daughter enjoys learning new dance moves/steps and to present them to me afterwards. What I especially appreciate is the very friendly and respectful atmosphere amongst the children. My daughter was very shy at the beginning but after being welcomed by the other children, who made her feel being a part of them, she started to relax and to be more comfortable to dance like no one is watching😉— Bernadette L

Great place and amazing team behind the scenes! The Movie Madness Show was an amazing part of their work set up in a short period of time! You could see the emotions and excitement on children and staff faces! Can't thank them enough for all their work and treat well every child!— Silvia Dumitrascu

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you start ballroom dancing?

The simplest route is to join a beginners' group class, where a teacher introduces basic posture, timing and a couple of foundation dances. From there you build steadily, and many people add private lessons once they want to refine technique.

What ballroom dance to learn first?

The waltz is a common starting point because its slow, flowing rhythm makes the counts easy to feel. Some teachers begin instead with a social favourite like the quickstep or foxtrot, depending on the group.

How hard is it to learn salsa?

Salsa has a straightforward basic step that most people pick up in a single session. The challenge, and the fun, comes later as you layer in turns, timing and partner connection.

Can a non-dancer learn salsa?

Absolutely. Beginner salsa classes assume no prior experience and build the basics one step at a time. Most people find they can move confidently through a simple routine within a few weeks.

Is it possible to learn ballet as an adult?

Yes, and adult beginner ballet is increasingly popular. Classes for grown-ups focus on gradual progress, strength and enjoyment rather than early training, so you can start whenever you feel ready.

What age is too late to start ballet?

There is no upper limit for taking up ballet recreationally. While professional training usually starts young, adults of any age can learn the technique and enjoy the physical and mental benefits.
