Since joining Assoluta Dance in September 2020, my daughter's confidence and love of dance has been transformed. Summer and Leanne have been such encouraging, positive and inspiring teachers, offering supportive feedback during each session to help my daughter make progress, whilst also offering unique workshops each term to enrich all the dancers' overall experience. Miss Summer and Miss Leanne provide an amazing, professional and nourishing experience for all the students as well as keeping classes fun and exciting. Since dancing at Assoluta Dance, I have been offered many incredible opportunities and workshops even throughout the coronavirus lockdowns. These experiences are one of a kind and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to do them. Both teachers really care about their students and have a genuine passion for ballet and go above and beyond to help and provide for their students. Assoluta Dance is FABULOUS!!! I can’t not speaking highly enough of this dance school and both it’s principle Summer Campbell and Miss Leanne. If you want your child to learn dance (Ballet/Acro/Jazz) to a wonderfully high standard (RAD) in a caring and nurturing environment then look no further. My daughter Imogen who is bundle of energy with previous gymnastic experience loves every minute she spends here and is incredibly keen to learn more with teachers that she loves. Yes. Ballet and many other styles are danced individually, so no partner is required. Even partner dances are often taught with rotation.
For ballet, close-fitting clothing and soft ballet shoes are best, while other styles simply call for comfortable, flexible clothes. The priority is being able to move freely.
Fees vary with the school, class length and whether you pay per session or per term. The school can provide its current rates.
Ballet gives beginners a strong technical base, though the best first dance depends on what you enjoy most. A trial class can help you decide.
Adults often take up ballet or a gentle social style, both of which welcome newcomers. Choosing something you genuinely like makes the routine easier to keep.
Light dancing can support overall fitness, but anyone with a heart condition should check with their doctor first. Medical guidance helps keep activity safe.
