What Dancers Say About The Studio – CT

4.8/5 from 5 Google reviews.

My husband and I were so nervous about our 1st dance at our wedding we enlisted the help of Claire to choreograph a routine. As well as taking away the apprehension, we had amazing amounts of fun learning how to dance. While we are never going to be the next Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, we felt we gave guests a dance to remember and had a lot of fun in the process. Claire was wonderfully patient and a great teacher. Thank you so much for giving us such fantastic memories 😊— Emily

My daughter does little stars dancing at 12 on a Friday and loves it! Claire is excellent with the little ones and fun is always had!— Roger Faires

Great place to learn to dance, many different styles too. Welcoming and warm environment— Richard Still

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you learn to dance without a partner?

Yes. Many group and solo styles need no partner, and partner classes tend to rotate participants. Coming on your own is entirely normal.

What should I wear to a beginner dance class?

Comfortable clothing and smooth-soled shoes that allow turning are best. Avoid heavy-grip trainers. Bringing water is sensible.

How much does a dance class usually cost?

Prices depend on the format, length and whether the session is group or private. Group classes are generally cheaper than one-to-one tuition. Check current rates with the studio.

Which dance is best for beginners?

A dance with a steady, clear rhythm such as the waltz suits newcomers, and line dancing needs no partner. Much depends on the music you enjoy. The right first dance is the one you look forward to.

What is the best dance to start as an adult?

A relaxed social or ballroom style taught gradually works well for adults. Line dancing is another easy entry point. Starting low-pressure builds confidence fast.

Is dancing good for heart failure?

Gentle dancing can be a light form of activity, but anyone with a heart condition should ask their GP first. A doctor can advise on safe limits. Always follow medical guidance.
